Serie B: Rungg marches from victory to victory

For the Talferstadt team it was the second defeat in a row after the draw at the start. There was a clear 1:5 defeat against the bottom team from Catania. After the four singles it was already 1:3: While ex-professional Thomas Holzer from Kaltern and the two homegrown players Aliosha Bona and Tobias Tappeiner lost their singles match, Johannes Ager from Kramsach got the honorary point for the white-reds against Giuseppe Ricciardi . TC Bozen has no games on the fourth match day, and Villa York Sporting Club will be guests on Martin-Knoller-Straße on May 27th.

Things couldn't be better for Rungg in Serie B. After the 6-0 opening win against Nuova Casale and the 5-1 away win in Bisceglie, coach Manuel Gasbarri's men's team again clearly won 6-0 at home against CT Francesco Guzzini today. In the individual competition today, only the homegrown players Georg Winkler, Horst Rieder, Alexander Weis and Manuel Bernard were in action. All four won their games effortlessly, only Weis from Bozen lost a set. In doubles, Weis/Agostini and the Völser duo Rieder/Moritz Trocker secured the final score of 6-0.

The Rungger women's team also celebrated their third victory in a row today. In Bari, Verena Meliss & Co. also clearly won 4-0. On the fourth matchday, which will not take place until May 20th, the Überetscher women will host TC Ambrosiano, while the men's team will face Milago away.
