Series B: Rungg continues on the road to success, Bozen loses in Modena

The Rungger men's team built on their opening 6-0 win against Nuova Casale and also brought STC Bisceglie to their knees 5-1 away on Sunday. The match was already decided after the four individual encounters: Marco Bortolotti, Alexander Weis, Horst Rieder and Moritz Trocker all celebrated victories. Bortolotti/Weis also won the doubles, while the two Völser Trocker/Winkler had to admit defeat to the strong Bahamonde/Nardelli 4:6, 2:6.

Coach Manuel Gasbarri's women's team also celebrated their second win in the second game. Verena Meliss & Co. won 3-1 at home against the weakened CT Reggio. The Kalterer and Dalila Spiteri promptly set the course for victory, only Sophie Walzl from Gargazon lost out to Elisabetta Leoni in two sets. Meliss/Spiteri then got the decisive point against Medici/Leoni.

TC Bozen loses in Modena TC Bozen, on the other hand, is still waiting for its first win in Serie B. The Talferstadt team, who had to be content with a 3-3 draw against Vicenza last weekend, lost 1-5 away in Modena on Sunday. Johannes Ager from Kramsach scored the only point for the white-reds, but homegrown players Aliosha Bona, Simon Ebner and Tobias Tappeiner had no chance. For the women, St. Georgen and Meran celebrated home successes, while newly promoted Brixen and the municipality of Bozen played a 2-2 draw.

In the men's district A, TC St. Christina-Wolkenstein made short work of the second selection of TC Meran and did not lose a single set in six games. Rungg and the TC Municipality of Bozen, on the other hand, couldn't get past a 3-3 draw in an extremely exciting duel.

There were no surprises in District B either. St. Georgen brought Kaltern to its knees 5-1, while TC Meran A, who became national champions two years ago, defeated TC Bruneck 6-0. On the second match day there will be a Pusterer duel between Bruneck and St. Georgen, while Kaltern hosts the Merano team. St. Georgen and Merano win for women For the women, group favorite St. Georgen celebrated a home win against TC Bozen. The Puster women around Verena Hofer and Gabriella Polito prevailed with 3:1 points. The duel between newly promoted Brixen and TC Gemeinde Bozen ended in a 2-2 draw. Meran brought Rungg to its knees 3-1. Lara Pfeifer took the honorary point for the Überetscher against Teresa Schwienbacher.
