Serie C: Rungger men play against Caltanisetta

The only South Tyrolean team, the men's team from TC Rungg, will meet TC Caltanissetta away in Sicily in the first round on June 24th at 10 a.m.

As in the previous year, the Rungger men were crowned national champions for the third time in their club history thanks to a wafer-thin 4:3 win in the deciding doubles match against TC Gherdeina. Now the team from Girlan will face TC Caltanissetta away at the start of the national final phase in 12 days. The Sicilians secured their ticket to the final phase with a 4-2 win against Tennis Kalaja Palermo. The team is led by the two 2.4 players Luca Potenza and Oscar Rodriguez Sanchez. Captain Salvatore Lacagnina (3.1) Davide Ragonese (2.6), Gianmarco Fava (3.1), Davide Potenza (3.4) and Alessio Lipani (3.5) are also available.

Should the Überetscher win in Caltanissetta, they would play a week later in the decisive second round against the seeded team Canottieri Rome for promotion to Serie B.

A South Tyrolean women's team is not taking part this year, as TC Meran lost the regional final of Serie C at home almost two weeks ago against the Trentino women from Argentario with 1:3.
