“I had slight problems with my serve at the beginning. After that I got into the game better and suddenly everything started working on its own. Foretjek is a strong player, although he is small, he applied enormous pressure with his forehand. Nevertheless, I controlled the match and am now confident about the next opponent,” said Sinner after the game.

In the quarter-finals on Friday, the Pusterer will meet number 13 seed Naoki Tajima from Japan. The 17-year-old Asian is ranked 18th in the junior world rankings.
