Winter Cup Series B: Rungg A and Meran lead

The championship is divided into two circles. There will be two men's singles, one women's singles and one doubles event. In district A, in addition to Rungg A, Kaltern, Lana and Brixen, Rovereto A, Arco and Ata Battisti Trento are also registered. The Runggers, who compete with ITF players Alexander Weis, Moritz Trocker, Georg Winkler, Horst Rieder and Verena Meliss, among others, confidently lead the table with a maximum of 6 points from three games. They confirmed their role as favorites both against Brixen (4:0) and Arco and most recently Kaltern (3:1 each).

Lana, Kaltern and Brixen, on the other hand, still have to find their best form. Lana and the Überetscher have one point to their name, Brixen is at the bottom with zero points. On the next match day there will be a direct duel between Lana and Kaltern, while Brixen will be a guest in Rovereto. Like Rungg, the Trentians are still unbeaten and took a break at the weekend.

In district B, Meran, Partschins, Rungg B and the four Trento teams Levico, TC Trient, Brentonico and Rovereto B face each other. TC Meran leads with 5 points after three matchdays, Levico and Partschins, who have both played one game less, are tied for second place with three points. On Saturday, Meran shot Rovereto 2-4. Partschins, who have Patrick Prader and Philipp Köll in their squad, were able to hold their own against bottom team Rungg 0-3. The top duel between the Passerstädters and Partschins is on the agenda in Merano at the weekend.

The Serie B Tennis Players Winter Cup has been underway for three weeks. In addition to seven teams from Trentino, there are also seven South Tyrolean clubs: Rungg A and B, Kaltern, Lana, Brixen, Meran and Partschins.
