South Tyrol's U-12 team missed the podium in Trento

The victory went to Liguria, which defeated Emilia Romagna in the final. The South Tyrolean team, led by Roland Meliss, was able to eliminate Trent in the quarter-finals, but then lost out to eventual tournament winners Liguria in the semi-finals. In the small final, Piedmont had the upper hand over the South Tyrolean young players. The final between Liguria and Emilia Romagna was hard to beat in terms of excitement. In the end, the doubles had to be used as a deciding factor - here the Ligurians had luck on their side and won the final 3-2. In the game for third place, too, the decision was only forced in the very last game, i.e. in doubles. The South Tyrolean duo Maximilian Figl/Daniel Theiner had a difficult time against Scarpa/Vavassori and had to admit defeat to the Piedmontese team with 3:4 and 6:3. In the game for fifth place, Trent lost 1-4 to Veneto, while Tuscany secured seventh place thanks to a 4-1 win against Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

South Tyrol's U-12 team missed the podium in Trento

Last weekend the 28th edition of the Polla Memorial Tournament took place in Trento. Organized by the Circolo ATA Battisti, numerous regional selections in the Under 12 category from the north of Italy met again this year.
