TC Bozen is crowned national champion

The final in Bolzano between the record winners and Val Gardena was very even on paper. The White-Reds only made it into the final yesterday thanks to a 4-3 win in St. Georgen and enjoyed home advantage against Patric Prinoth & Co. today. After the four individual matches, Bolzano was already leading 3-1. The Austrian top player Lucas Miedler, the Bolzano professional Alexander Weis and the Paulsen player Tobias Tappeiner scored for the hosts, Gabriel Moroder for the Val Gardena team. In doubles, the Miedler/Weis duo finally sealed the deal against Prinoth/Erwin Tröbinger with a 6:4, 6:1 victory. Huge celebrations at TC Bozen, who also qualified for the Italian championship with this victory. It is the 15th title in Serie C for the white-reds; they last won it in 2013, against Bruneck. The relegation duel between TC Meran B and Völs also took place today. The Kurstadters managed to stay in the league. Meran clearly had the upper hand at home with 5:1 and will therefore play in Serie C next year, while ATC Völs has to return to Serie D1 after just one season. Rungger ladies win in the B2 series The women of TC Rungg are unstoppable in the B2 series. The Überetscher women celebrated their third victory in their third match today. Lara Pfeifer & Co. shot CT Reggio 4-0 in Girlan, the Rungger points were taken by Martina Spigarelli, Angelica Moratelli, Lara Pfeifer and the double duo Spigarelli/Vickie Trocker. The men of TC Rungg were free to play today.

TC Bozen is crowned national champion

TC Bozen won the men's Serie C national championship title on Sunday. The Talferstädter team won 4-1 at home against TC Gherdeina. For Alexander Weis & Co. it is the 15th title win in the club's history.
