TC Bozen about to jump into the B2 series

The national champions from Bolzano showed their class today on Martin-Knoller-Straße and more than lived up to their role as favorites.

Tennis professional Alexander Weis, Jonas Greif from Kalter, Thomas Holzer and Tobias Tappeiner from St. Pauls all won their singles matches. In the doubles, Weis/Greif and Holzer/Tappeiner closed the bag with a crystal-clear final score of 6-0. The second leg will take place in Cervignano del Friuli in two weeks, on July 11th. Bolzano only needs to win a single game to secure promotion to Serie B2. For the women, the decision will be made on July 11th The women's duel between Merano and Park Tennis was much more evenly balanced. Marion Viertler from Schlanders prevailed in the top game against Elena Covi in three sets 6:0, 5:7, 7:5, Teresa Schwienbacher and Alessia Piccoliori had no chance against Maja Markoric and Nicole Iosio respectively. TC Bozen is about to jump into the B2 series. On Sunday, the Talferstädter clearly won 6-0 at home against River Sporting Club in the first leg of the national final phase of Serie C. The women's team from TC Meran, however, drew 2-2 against Park Tennis.
