“I played well yesterday,” said Thiem in the interview, referring to his round of 16 win against Argentina’s Federico Delbonis: “And I managed to build on that today. What I haven't managed to do is stay out of the way." He attributed the breaks he conceded to being nervous because he was about to reach the semi-finals again after a long time. “The pressure is relatively great. I need the points to move further up the ranking.”
