Tröbinger's dream shattered - Seppi before his first mission in Val Gardena

Viola, Val Gardena semi-finalist in 2012 and current world number 281, dominated the match from the start and took Tröbinger's serve seven times. In the end he deservedly won 6:2, 6:1. This makes Viola the seventh Italian in the peloton. In the first round he will face Frenchman Tristan Lamasine.

The 31-year-old Barbian received the wild card from the organizers after Thanasi Kokkinakis canceled at short notice. “I have nothing to lose,” says Prader before the match on Wednesday at 16 p.m. against the Romanian top favorite Marius Copil from Romania, who is ranked 75th in the world. Copil is not expected in Ortisei until Tuesday. He lost the final of an ATP Challenger in Taiwan on Sunday.
