U16 boys from TC Rungg qualified for the national final eight

A qualifying tournament also took place in South Tyrol: the boys in the U16 age group met on the clay courts in St. Georgen. South Tyrol fielded two teams, TC Rungg with Moritz Trocker, Sebastian Brzezinski and Andrea De Paola, who were among the favorites, and TC Bozen with Alex Laimer and Mattia Padoan, who, however, had to do without their top player Tobias Tappeiner. The Runggers, who are trained by Manuel Gasbarri, finally lived up to their role as favorites. The Überetscher won all three preliminary round games against Bassano, Rovereto and SC Plebiscito and then surprisingly won the final against Schio with 3-0 points. Both Moritz Trocker and Sebastian Brzezinski remained undefeated in their individual matches and thus qualified for the national final eight from September 23rd to 25th in Naples.
