Verena Hofer from Val Gardena was eliminated in the double quarter-finals of the U18 European Tennis Championships in Klosters, Switzerland, on Friday evening. The 16-year-old from Ortisei and her compatriot Bianca Turati had to admit defeat to the Spaniards Paula Badosa Gibert/Sara Sorribes Tormo, number 10 on the seed list, in two sets with 2:6 and 1:6.
