US Open: Knapp is eliminated against Kerber - continues in doubles

The 28-year-old from Ahrntal had to admit defeat in the second round of the US Open on Thursday evening to the German Angelique Kerber, number 11 on the seed list, in two sets after 1:43 hours of play with 5:7, 2:6. In doubles, however, she moved into the second round with Roberta Vinci.
