Verena Hofer celebrates her first tournament victory on the ITF tour

Great success for the 17-year-old from Ortisei: She celebrated her first victory on the ITF tour at the $10.000 tournament in Santa Margherita di Pula on Sardinia. Hofer won the doubles with Martina Pratesi. In the final, the “Azzurre” defeated the number 2 seeded Belgians Marie Benoit/Kimberley Zimmermann 6:4, 7:5.
