Verena Meliss/Marcella Cucca move into the semi-finals

Verena Meliss made it to the semi-finals of the doubles competition at the $10.000 tournament in Santa Margherita di Pula (Sardinia) on Tuesday. The Caldaro native and Marcella Cucca beat Cecilia Pattacini/Miriana Tona 7:5, 6:2 in the quarter-finals and will face the number 2 seeded Italians Federica Arcidiacono/Martina Spigarelli in the semi-finals tomorrow.
