Weis and Fellin make it into the main field

Like last week, Alexander Weis made it into the main draw of the $25.000 tournament in Santa Margherita di Pula on Sardinia. Last week, after four days of constant rain, the 21-year-old from Bolzano was only able to play his first round match on Sunday afternoon, but then lost to number 6 seeded Frenchman Evan Furness (ATP number 445) 7:5, 5:7 after a tough fight and 2:6.

On Monday, Weis eliminated his compatriot Davide Pozzi 6:2, 6:1 in the qualification, and today he clearly defeated the Swede Dragos Nicolae Madaras, number 2 on the seed list and 238 in the ITF ranking, after 1:11 hours of play 6:3, 6:1. Weis and Fellin make it into the main field

Alexander Weis from Bolzano and Manfred Fellin from Brixen moved into the main field of the ITF tournaments in Santa Margherita di Pula and Cairo on Tuesday. Moritz Trocker and Stefan Brzezinski, however, failed in the last qualifying round in Egypt.
