World ranking: Sinner and the Italians on the rise

Just two days after that spectacular Davis Cup victory in Slovakia Jannik Sinner has another reason to be happy. The 20-year-old from Puster left his friend and rival Hubert Hurkacz behind in the ATP rankings and moved back into the top ten in tenth place. However, his presence there will only be temporary as he is out of action this week and will be overtaken by Hurkacz again next Monday. In addition to Sinner, there is currently another Azzurro in the top ten: Matteo Berrettini overtakes the Russian Andrey Rublev and equals his personal best ranking with sixth place. Davis Cup hero Lorenzo Musetti is also better off in the world rankings than ever before. Four days after his 20th birthday, he is already in 56th position. His compatriots Lorenzo Sonego (21st) and Fabio Fognini (36th) are ahead of him. Andreas Seppi , who last played in the first round game in Acapulco on February 20th, improved from 123rd to 122nd place.
