Wimbledon: Seppi-Orkan moves into round two

On Monday, the Kalterer once again proved that he likes the duels against Garcia-Lopez. In the seven encounters that have now taken place, Seppi has retained the upper hand six times and was fully concentrated, flawless and callous from the start in the most recent duel: In the second game he took the Spaniard's serve and subsequently moved ahead to 4-2. Seppi showed class in the seventh game when he fended off Garcia-Lopez's first break chance, took the point himself to make it 5:2 and finally made the decisive 6:2 perfect in the following game and with the opponent's service. In the second set too, Seppi was about as safe as a Swiss bank at the beginning: in the fourth game he converted the first break chance that presented itself with a great deal of coolness and then pulled away to 4:2. In the seventh game he revealed minor problems for the first and last time when he had to give up his service to Garcia-Lopez after two opposing break chances. After this brief containment, the Seppi hurricane swept over its opponent again. With his sixth break chance of the game, he secured the second set win (6:4) and duped the weak and weak Garcia-Lopez in the subsequent third set with a smooth 6:0.

Milos Raonic is waiting in round two This puts the Kalterer into the second round, where he will face Milos Raonic, who is number six.
