Winter Cup Series B: South Tyrolean teams impress

The championship is divided into two circles. There will be two men's singles, one women's singles and one doubles event. In addition to St. Christina-Wolkenstein and Kaltern, Levico, Ata Battisti Trento and Brentonico also play in district A. The Val Gardena confidently lead the table with a maximum of 4 points from two games. They won 4-0 against co-favorites Levico and Kaltern.

The people of Kaltern, on the other hand, won their first encounter against Brentonico 3-1, but then lost the derby against St. Christina-Wolkenstein. Last Saturday there was a direct duel between the two South Tyrolean teams. Jonas Ciechi and Michael Kerschbaumer as well as Laura Mair and the Prinoth/Tröbinger double gave the Überetscher team just seven games in four games.

In district B, TC Rungg plays against Trento, Rovereto and Arco. The Überetscher managed a 2-2 draw against Trento and Rovereto and are now in third place in the table with two points, just one point behind the two clubs from Trentino. This Sunday, Rungg will face bottom team Arco, who are still without a win.

The Serie B Tennis Players Winter Cup has been underway for almost three weeks. The three South Tyrolean clubs from St. Christina-Wolkenstein, Rungg and Kaltern are also there. A total of nine teams are registered.
