WTA Tashkent: Karin Knapp moves into the semi-finals - UPDATE

Karin Knapp reached the singles semifinals at the $250.000 Tashkent Open in Uzbekistan on Thursday. The 27-year-old from Lutago defeated Belarusian Olga Gorvotsova, number 114 in the WTA world rankings, 1:18, 7:5 after 6:2 hours of play. For Karin Knapp it is the second semi-final this year after Nuremberg in May, the ninth in her career. In the doubles, however, the Ahrntaler was eliminated in the semi-finals today with the Romanian Begu.
