WTA Wuhan: Karin Knapp qualifies for the main draw

On Saturday morning, Karin Knapp survived the second, decisive round of qualification at the WTA Premier tournament in Wuhan, China, which has prize money of $2.440.070, and qualified for the main draw. The 27-year-old from Luttach im Ahrntal defeated the American Nicole Gibbs, number 101 in the world, 1:17, 6:4 in 6:2 hours of play.
