Eppan with a great finish – Auer fails in the playoffs

After last Saturday's win against Cortemaggiore, Eppan had another 4-1 win in the first division catch-up game against Norbello on Tuesday. Debora Vivarelli won 3:1 against Colantoni, Evelyn Vivarelli lost 0:3 against the strong Greek Touliou, Diana Styhar beat Nagy 3:0 and Debora Vivarelli beat Touliou with the same result before Styhar won 3:1 against Colantoni.

On Friday and Saturday the Eppan girls played twice in Sardinia: In the first duel they won 4:2 against Quattro Mori, with Debora Vivarelli winning against the Romanian Clapa, but then losing against the second Romanian Plaian. The latter also beat Mària Fazekas from Eppan, who then took revenge with a 3-0 win against Wei Jian. Styhar prevailed against both Jian and Clapa.

The following day against Norbello, the Überetscher women achieved an easy 4-0 victory with all games ending 3-0: Debora Vivarelli won against Nagy and Touliou, Fazekas against Touliou and Styhar against Colantoni.

The Eppan Serie A1 team ensured a brilliant end to the season.

The Eppan team achieved 4 wins in 7 days. A week ago she was still fighting for relegation, after these four wins she even finished the championship in third place. Debora Vivarelli and Co. are therefore guaranteed to take part in the Coppa Italia in Riccione on May 3st. 3 wins are not enough for Auer to get promoted The Serie B playoffs took place in Terni at the weekend. In the group stage they lost the first game against Ausonia Enna 1:4, with only Sattler scoring once. In the second duel against Casper, the Unterlanders had the upper hand 4-1: Sattler and Sabine each won twice. In the third game they also won against Cortemaggiore 4-1. Sattler again achieved two successes, and Klotz and Eheim also won their games. Auer narrowly missed out on promotion to the A2, as only the first of the 4 groups was able to celebrate promotion to the second highest division in the end. Piccolin with Messina in the Europe Cup semi-finals Jordy Piccolin reached the semi-finals with Messina in the Europe Cup in Varazdin. In the group, the team from Sicily lost 1:3 against Pontoise Cergy and won 3:0 against Vydrandy, with Piccolin able to play successfully in his singles. In the quarterfinals, the South Tyrolean table tennis ace and his teammates won 3-0 against Wiener Neustadt. After that, however, it was the end of the line: In the semi-finals, Messina clearly lost to Walter Wels 0:3, with Piccolin losing out in his singles with 2:3.

Eppan with a great finish – Auer fails in the playoffs

South Tyrol's table tennis aces have been in constant action again over the past few days: While Eppan climbed up the table in Serie A1 at the end of the season, the Aurer women played the Serie B playoffs in Terni.
