National categories were in action over the weekend

1st and 2nd category in Terni At the tournament in Terni, Giorgia Piccolin came second. The Bolzano native lost a preliminary round game against Chiara Colantoni, but was still able to qualify for the semi-finals as second in the group. There she beat Denisa Zancaner from Eppan, who won her group. In the final, Colantoni was her opponent again. This time too, the player from Parma had the better end for herself.

Evelyn Vivarelli and Emilia Manukyan, who play for TTC Eppan, also qualified for the 1st category. In the men's event, Jordy Piccolin reached the quarterfinals. In the 2nd category, Evelyn Vivarelli and Emilia Manukyan made it to the quarterfinals and won bronze together in the doubles.

3rd category in Florence Only Ramona Paizoni from Tramin took part in the 3rd category tournament in Florence. As second in the group, she made it into the main field, but was eliminated among the last 32 players. In doubles she and her partner came into the top 16.

4th and 5th category in Verona

The 4th category tournament was held in Verona. Samuel De Chiara from Meran made it into the main field as the first in the group. Juri Moser (Sarnthein) and Benjamin Pichler (Passeier) also made it there as second in the group. Alex Moser (Sarnthein) and Dhara Zöggeler (Merano) were already eliminated in the group phase. Moser later failed in the first round of the Moser peloton. One lap later, De Chiara had to give up. For Pichler it was over in the top 32. Both doubles teams were immediately eliminated from the team competition.

In the women's category, Greta Pichler (Marling), Katharina Resch from Eppan and Vanessa Volgger from Sarnthein made it into the main field. Pichler and Volgger were eliminated in the round of 16, while Resch was eliminated in the quarter-finals. Volgger/Stockner and Pichler/Sommavilla (Este) came third in the doubles. Resch/Annunziata (Asola) won this category.

Philipp Dapaoli from Eppan was the winner of the 5th category tournament. Manuel Holzer (Passeier) was eliminated from the top 128. Martin Schrentewein from Eppan qualified for the main field, but was then no longer able to compete. Georg Pichler (Passeier), Mattia Gerin (Eppan) and Egon Holzmann from Sarner did not make it through the group phase. Johanna Depaoli suffered the same fate among the women. Victoria Resch from Eppan, however, was able to fight her way to the round of XNUMX.
