European Table Tennis Championships: Vivarelli and Co. finish the team competition in 20th place

After the victory over Greece and the defeat against England, Italy's table tennis women beat Slovenia 3-1 on Monday and finished the team competition in 20th place. Vivarelli, who lost the first game against Alex Galic 1:3, ultimately secured the decisive point with a 3:1 win against Manca Fajmut.

From today on, the South Tyrolean will be in action in the preliminary round matches in singles and doubles. In the singles there will be a reunion with the Slovenian Alex Galic (tonight, 18.45 p.m.). In the coming days she will meet Letizia Giardi from San Marino (Wednesday) and the Serbian Gabriela Feher (Thursday). Only the winner of the group qualifies for the main draw.

In doubles today, Vivarelli and Lisa Ridolfi will face the Slovenians Manca Fajmut and Jana Tomazini. On Wednesday and Thursday, however, they will face Nehare Janjeva/Vlona Maloku (Kosovo) and Laura Gasnier/Carole Grundisch (France), respectively. Just like in singles, only the group winner makes it into the main draw in doubles.
