Lake Kaltern Triathlon: A South Tyrolean beams from the podium

Sandra Mairhofer swam, cycled and ran onto the podium unexpectedly and surprisingly. The triathlete from Taisten took third place after 1,5 kilometers of swimming, 40,5 kilometers of cycling and 10 kilometers of running. The Hungarian Klaudia Sebok (2.12,31:2.21,48 h), who beat her compatriot Renata Fuchs by over four minutes, was unbeatable. Sebok set a high pace from the start and their victory was never in danger. The performance of Lisa Schanung from Brixen (XNUMX:XNUMX hours), who crossed the finish line in fifth place, was also strong.

In the men's category, Andrea Secchiero missed his Lake Kaltern hat trick: in the last two years the Lombard has always been unbeatable, this year he lost out to his compatriot Luca Facchinetti (1.53,38:2.00,56 h). The two Italians were level for a long time before Facchinetti picked up the pace in the running section and secured victory. Franco Pesavento, also an Italian, came third.
