The Brennercom Sailing Week has a new winning face with Brandnamic

In the morning, the participants were woken up by a heavy thunderstorm. The fleet then set off on the first of two planned races. At 13.15:4 p.m. racing director Gert Schmidleitner fired the starting signal. The teams BMW Auto Ikaro with skipper Bernhard Mair and Clean Solutions with skipper Hanspeter Mair were punished with a recall due to a premature start. BMW Auto Ikaro filed an appeal against this decision, but this was rejected by the racing management. In the end, the XNUMXth Brennercom Sailing Week saw a new winner. After two wins for BMW Auto Ikaro and one win for Windsurfing Kaltern, Brandnamic also joined the list of winners.

Brandnamic's last competition victory dates back to 2016, when they won the 5th race. Second and only narrowly beaten was Team Hell with skipper Hans Hell. Windsurfing Kaltern was the third team to cross the finish line with skipper Wolfgang Sparer. The two-time winner BMW Auto Ikaro had to settle for 16th place after the recall. Skipper Bernhard Mair still leads the overall ranking, as the worst placing can be deleted from four races onwards.

After the first of two planned races, the start time was postponed due to weak winds. When there was still no wind in sight at 16.40:XNUMX p.m., competition director Gert Schmidleitner postponed the fifth race until tomorrow in the hope of better wind conditions.
