The Weger brothers miss the final run in Prague

For Matthias (24) and Jakob Weger (22) from Schenna, the semi-final race was the end of the line. One touch on the last goal cost Matthias his place in the final. In the kayak single team race, France (110,93 seconds/0 penalty seconds) prevailed ahead of the Czech Republic (112,38/4 penalty seconds) and Switzerland 114,14/0 penalty seconds. Austria landed in 120,06th place with Felix Oschmautz, Mario Leitner and Matthias Weger in 2 seconds (6 penalty seconds) and Italy in 121,84th place with Christian De Dionigi, Giovanni De Gennaro and Jakob Weger in 8 seconds, including 7 penalty seconds. Without the Weger brothers from SC Meran/Torggler-Raika, the final race in the supreme discipline, the men's kayak single sculls, took place this afternoon at the European Canoe Slalom Championships in Prague with the 15 best kayak paddlers in the semi-finals.
