European Championship: Lisa Fissneider in constant use from today

Lisa Fissneider qualified for the first big highlight of the season at the meeting in Viareggio three weeks ago. For her it is a return to the European Championships after she did not take part in Chartres last year. The young Überetscher now has a full program awaiting her in Herning.

It starts on Thursday morning (shortly after 9 a.m.) with the preliminary race over 50 m breaststroke. If she makes it to the semi-finals, she would have to go back into the water early in the evening. On Friday Fissneider will swim the 200 m breaststroke, on Saturday the 100 m breaststroke and on Sunday the medley relay.

The South Tyrolean probably has the best chance of reaching the final in her flagship discipline, the 100 m breaststroke. The final would possibly take place on the last day of competition. Meanwhile, she has a small chance of winning a medal in the medley relay. There she won bronze in Eindhoven three years ago, her only European Championship medal to date. At that time, Laura Letrari from Brixen was also part of the team. She did not qualify for the title fights this year.

European Championship: Lisa Fissneider in constant use from today

On Thursday, the 19-year-old from Kaltern will be entering the big international swimming stage again: at the European Short Course Championships in Herning, Denmark, she will be in action every day until Sunday.
