Italian Championships in Riccione: Gold for Fissneider in the 50 m breaststroke

Fissneider lived up to her role as favorite and won her sixth Italian championship title in the general class in Riccione. She finished the final in 31.47 seconds. In the preliminary heat in the morning she even improved her personal record in the 50 m pool by two tenths of a second to 31.31 seconds and thus missed the World Cup qualification by just one hundredth. This year the World Cup will take place in Barcelona from July 28th to August 4th.

Fissneider, who trains at the Italian performance center in Verona, came out ahead of Michela Guzzetti and Ilaria Scarcella. “I have recovered well from my cycling accident (Fissneider injured his elbow) and this victory today is very important for me because now I know that the work here is bearing fruit.”

Letrari won her second gold medal in the relay today. After winning the 4x100 m freestyle, she also won the title in the mixed relay today with her colleagues from the army sports group Carlotta Fiordoro, Michela Guzzetti and Erika Ferraioli. The Bolzano Nuoto swimmers took 22nd place. In the men's race, Canottieri Aniene won in 3.37,10:3.55,32 minutes, while Bolzano's Dylan Ubaldi, Zaccaria Casna, Manuel Kiesswetter and Jacopo Emeri came in 17th in XNUMX:XNUMX minutes.
