Merano swimmers successful at Halloween meeting

The high-profile competition took place on October 30th by top swimmers from all over Italy. “This was a particularly difficult race for the Merano SCM swimmers given the high level of the event. Although we only registered 9 athletes, the club was in the middle of the overall standings with 8 placements and a total of 17 points, placing it 23rd out of 43 registered clubs,” said Claudio Priamo, SCM head coach. We succeeded,” said Priamo. Access to the races had been limited in number. The swimmers qualified based on their entry times, which were based on personal best times from the previous season. The Halloween meeting has developed into a top-class event in recent years, which is underlined, for example, by the participation of top swimmers with Olympic experience. Priamo has a special relationship with the Halloween meeting: he founded the Halloween meeting and accompanied it for 14 years. The next competition for the performance group is next weekend in Bolzano (Swimmeeting Alto Adige).
