Meran swimmers with solid performances

Last weekend the BCN Speedo meeting took place in the swimming pool of Gardolo (TN). 32 clubs took part in this national event. The people of Meran achieved good performances. The participants came mainly from the northeast, but also from Emilia Romagna and Campania. A total of 455 athletes registered, including several top athletes who have already qualified for national competitions or won medals, both among youth and adults. “This was not an easy challenge for our swimmers,” says SCM head coach Claudio Priamo. “But these competitions are important to refine your physical fitness with a view to the end of the season: the national championships are just around the corner (March 17th to 19th). The Merano sports club has already qualified with Anna Sorrenti for the next national youth competitions (Criteria Nazionali / the most important winter event in Italy). Efforts are being made to bring more promising athletes to the limits. Most athletes managed to swim record performances or set personal best times last weekend: Florian Lex and Hannah Spitaler in particular were able to achieve excellent time performances and win five finals together with Samantha Ortler. Have shown very good performances: - Florian Lex in 4th place in the 100 with 59,64 and in 7th place in the 50 with 27,70. - Paul Spitaler with 2,02 in the 200 style with an improvement of almost 5 seconds. - Record set by Annabelle Wild in the 200 freestyle, where she improved by 7 seconds to 2.14.3. - Hannah Spitaler lowers her season best in the 200 SL by swimming 2.09.3 under 2.10 in the final. - Lukas Erhart improves his time in the 400 freestyle and his own record in the 200 freestyle. - Maximilian Pichler improves to 100 seconds over 58,72 meters - Christian Caser improves his record over 200 sl to 2.11.19:XNUMX:XNUMX minutes. - Anna Lex improves her record to 2.15.13:200:1.03.23 minutes over 100 meters to 1.28.41:XNUMX:XNUMX minutes and over XNUMX meters to XNUMX:XNUMX:XNUMX minutes. - Among the juniors, Linnea Peer and Emma Spitaler improved in the 200 freestyle (2.25.47:2.27.02:200 minutes Peer, 11:XNUMX:XNUMX minutes Spitaler), as well as in the XNUMX backstroke (Peer) and XNUMX breaststroke (Spitaler).
