Two more meeting records in Bolzano – Letrari came fourth twice

Scozzoli won the 100 m breaststroke in the afternoon in 58,65 seconds and celebrated his 15th victory at the meeting in Bolzano. He improved his event record from 2014 by 0,08 seconds and kept Italy's young star Nicolò Martinenghi (58,75) and Brazil's Felipe Lima (59,20), who won bronze at last year's Short Course World Championships, at bay. “It’s always wonderful to swim here in Bolzano,” says Scozzoli, looking forward to the coming year.

The American won in 24,88 seconds ahead of Erika Ferraioli (25.03) and Toussaint (25,31).

Audience favorite Orsi comes out trumps At the end of the 21st swim meeting, Marco Orsi made his big appearance. The crowd favorite won the 50m freestyle in 21,90 seconds and was also happy with his time, in contrast to the previous day's victory in the 100m freestyle (48,49). Orsi celebrated his twelfth victory in Bolzano and won ahead of the Russian Evgeni Lagunov (22,35), the Brazilian Matheus Santana and Marius Kusch from Germany, who took third place in 22,45.

Matteo Rivolta was disappointed. The Italian record holder for the 100 m Delfin wanted to break the eight-year-old meeting record (50,80), but he had to settle for second place in a weak 52,07 seconds behind the German Marius Kusch, who set the meeting record and with it prize money of 1000 euros 50,95 just missed. The women's 100 m dolphin went to the American Kendyl Lee Stewart, who had already won the 50 m dolphin on Saturday. Simone Sabbioni achieved revenge over 50 m backstroke. After only coming second in the 100 m backstroke on Saturday, he struck on Sunday and won in a strong 24,04 seconds ahead of Matteo Milli (24,53) and Nicolò Bonacchi (24,76). Martina Carraro achieved a double victory on her debut in Bozen. After the 50 m breaststroke on Saturday, she also won the 100 m breaststroke on Sunday in 1.06,85:1.07,70 minutes ahead of Ilaria Scarcella (1.09,02:XNUMX) and Lisa Angiolini (XNUMX:XNUMX). Local hero Lisa Fissneider from SSV Bozen was only a spectator at the home race this year due to a knee injury.
