Because the big names from Italy are missing this year at the Nico Sapio meeting in Genoa, which is taking place at the same time, Bolzano is relying on strong swimmers from all over the world, as has been the tradition for a quarter of a century.

Many big names have been on the starting blocks at the rectory over the last 25 years and this year too, meeting boss Christian Mattivi and his team from SSV Bozen managed to bring top international swimmers to the valley town on the first weekend in November. International stars in Bolzano The Swiss Noè Ponti, who won silver in the 100 m dolphin at the European Championships in August, will be there in Bolzano. But athletes from the USA shouldn't be missing either: Back and dolphin specialist Kendyl Stewart, 28 years old from Newton in Massachusetts, has won eleven medals at major international events in her career. Worth mentioning is the third place with the US relay team at the 2015 Long Course World Championships in Kazan, as well as the three gold medals with the US quartet at the 2018 Short Course World Championships in Hangzhou. Stewart was already at the start in Bolzano that year, she is so there for the second time.

Madison Kennedy is also an old friend. The American has already won three times at the swim meet in Bolzano and will also be one of the main stars in the 50 and 100 m freestyle this year. As usual, the top athletes (the three fastest series) will be seen in Bolzano in the shortest possible time.
