Cagnotto/Dallapè easily qualify for the final

Tania Cagnotto and Francesca Dallapè made a strong statement at the world title fights in the Spanish metropolis. 302,40 points meant second place and thus underpinned their medal ambitions. The Italian duo only had to admit defeat to the Chinese Minxia Wu/Tingmao Shi (334,20) points. The Canadians Jennifer Abel/Pamela Ware took third place in the qualification.

The Cagnotto/Dallapè competition: For the diving forward, the duo was awarded 51,60 points in the “Piscina Municipal” after very good execution. The Auerbach head jump was also strong and was awarded 51 points by the judges. In the two-and-a-half somersault backwards, the third jump by Tania Cagnotto and Francesca Dallapè, the Trentino native had minimal difficulties in executing it, which, however, only had a minor impact on the score (64,80).

The two and a half somersault forward with a twist was the fourth jump on the program for the two “Azzurre”. Here the duo received 65,70 points. In this case too, the jump was not executed completely synchronously. Finally, Tania Cagnotto/Francesca Dallapè performed the two-and-a-half dolphin somersault. The Italian duo managed this very well. 69,30 points meant a total of 302,40 points and second place.
