Chinese double victory at the start of the GP in Bolzano

Two finals were held on Friday evening, both times the divers from China prevailed. In the women's synchronized diving on the 3-meter board, the duo Yiwen Chen/Cunting Wu clearly won with 289,95 points, ahead of Palmer/Gibson from the USA and the Russians Stepanova/Selvanovskaia.

The Chinese also dominated in the synchronized diving from the 10-meter tower. Xhiaou Tai/Bown Huang narrowly missed the 399,27-point mark with 400 points. The Brits Hatley/Thomson secured second place. Much to the delight of the local audience in the Bolzano Lido, local hero Vladimir Barbu and his partner Mattia Placidi took third place.

On Saturday from 18 p.m. the women's 10 meter final and the men's 3 meter board final are on the program. The competition program begins at 10 a.m. with the preliminary rounds and the semi-finals.
