Break-in near Dallapè: diver injured

The incident occurred on Friday night in Trento. As Francesca Dallapè announced on her Instagram profile, she caught two burglars in the act. The diver had just returned to the apartment with her little daughter when she saw the two men.

The fear was huge, but with her daughter in her arms she screamed to draw attention to herself. She then ran away, but fell and injured herself. The burglars also fled. Among other things, the thieves were after the medals and took 8 European Championship gold medals, 2 World Cup silver medals and the Olympic silver medal that Dallapè had won in 2016.

State police found the suitcase containing the medals a short time later in nearby bushes.

According to initial information, Dallapè is said to have injured her shoulder and hip when she fell. How serious the injuries are and what this means for the diver in terms of the Olympic Games is not yet clear at this point.
