Tania Cagnotto wins the home Grand Prix

Cagnotto/Dallapè performed very well despite the adverse weather conditions. They carried out their program - the forward head dive, the dolphin head dive, the Auerbach head dive, the two and a half forward somersault with two twists and the two and a half dolphin somersault dive - they carried out properly and the longer the competition lasted, the better the synchronicity between the newly trained athletes fit European champions.

Tania Cagnotto/Francesca Dallapè were rewarded for their performance with 311,10 points. That was “only” 13,20 points less than a week ago at the European Championships in Rostock. Second place went to the Chinese Liu Tian/Luo Ying, who collected 287,70 points. Meanwhile, third place went to the second Italian team, namely Maria Marconi/Elena Bertocchi, who with 254,40:254,19 points were a touch better than the Canadians Aimee Harrison/Emma Friesen.

There was also a podium place for the men in synchronized diving from the tower. Francesco Dell'Uomo/Maicol Verzotto collected 391,38 points and came in second place. Only in the last jump did they have to admit defeat by the very young Chinese Yao Hang/Tai Xiaohu (both born in 1998), who scored 394,17 points. The Mexicans Jonathan Ruvalcaba/Andreas Villareal came a distant third (360,66).

Tania Cagnotto wins the home Grand Prix
