Tania Cagnotto is crowned double Italian champion - UPDATE

Cagnotto, who was "only" second in the semi-finals on the 3m board, confidently and easily prevailed in the final with 336,30 points ahead of Elena Bertocchi (288,30) and Francesca Dallapè (273,10). Maria Elisabetta Marconi, who finished the semifinals in first place ahead of Cagnotto, had to settle for fifth place after three failed final jumps.

Just a few hours after her Italian individual championship title, Cagnotto won another gold medal: In the synchronized diving on the 3-meter board, together with Francesca Dallapè from Trento, she lived up to the role of favorite and confidently secured the title with 311,70 points.

In the men's event, Maicol Verzotto from Bolzano won the silver medal. With 352,25 points, only his synchronous partner Francesco Dell'Uomo (379,90) was better. The very young Julian Verzotto (born in 2001) took eighth place.
