Starting tomorrow, divers will crown their indoor Italian champions in Bolzano - UPDATE

Tomorrow, Friday, the starting signal for the Italian indoor diving championships will be given in Bolzano. The big star of the event, Tania Cagnotto, might not be at the start. The woman from Talferstadt underwent magnetic resonance today. "There's certainly nothing broken. But I have a bruise on my foot and that's why I definitely won't be able to be there on Friday. Maybe it will work on Saturday. But the most important thing now is to get well again as quickly as possible," said the exceptional jumper today.

Six other representatives from the local club Bolzano Nuoto want to put themselves in the spotlight. Above all, Maicol Verzotto. The Bolzano native already has the title in his pocket in the synchronized jumping on the 10 m board, as he and Francesco Dell'Uomo are the only registered starters in this discipline. Verzotto also has his sights set on a medal in the individual diving from the tower. Christopher Sacchin, Maicol Scuttari and the young talents Julian Verzotto, Vladimir Barbu and Gesu Kay Garcia Torres also want to cut a good figure in the title fights.

On the first day of competition at the Italian Indoor Championships, the women's individual jumping from the 1 m board as well as the men's individual and synchronized competition from the 3 m board and the synchronized jumping from the tower are on the program. On Saturday, however, the men will determine their Italian champions on the 1m board, while the women will compete on the 3m board (individual and synchronized). Finally, the individual competitions will take place from the platform on Sunday.

From Friday to Sunday, the South Tyrolean state capital is the venue for the Italian indoor diving championships. The South Tyroleans also want to have a say in the fight for the medals in the indoor swimming pool on Trieststrasse. Tania Cagnotto will definitely not be there on opening day.
