“Azzurre” cheer at the hundredth thriller at the start of the World Cup

Goggia is a phenomenon. The 26-year-old from Bergamo was out for almost the entire season with an ankle injury. Then Goggia returned to the World Cup a few weeks ago, was on the podium several times and has now crowned her achievements at the World Championships in Åre. Lindsey Vonn ensured an inglorious exit. The American, who will end her successful career after the World Cup, jumped straight into a directional gate and fell then into the fence. Shortly afterwards, Vonn drove to the finish line himself.

The Austrians were also disappointed, especially Nicole Schmidhofer. A lot had been calculated in the red-white-red camp, but in the end the medals were never within reach for the ÖSV runners.
