Olympic champion Gisin reacts to Kasper

The 75-year-old Kasper has been President of the International Ski Federation FIS since 1998 and has been an honorary member of the International Olympic Committee since 2018. In a questionable one Interview During the World Ski Championships in Åre with the Swiss Tages-Anzeiger, the powerful sports official sided with dictatorships and denied climate change.

Michelle Gisin has now spoken out on Instagram. The 25-year-old won Olympic gold in the alpine combined in 2018. Gisin suffered a knee injury at the Super-G in Garmisch at the end of January. For the Swiss, not only was the World Ski Championships in Sweden canceled, but the entire season was also over. In the post, Gisin shows a series of pictures of the glacier retreat in Saas Fee, from 2013 to 2018. Gisin calls on the FIS to do something together against climate change and to think about their own goals.
