6 bronze medals for South Tyrol

Denicoló won the bronze medal in the U23 category on Sunday, giving himself an early present one day before his 20th birthday. The Pusterer was also the best-placed South Tyrolean in 10th place among the men.

There was even a premiere for women. For the first time, the women took part in a major curling event in the distance competition. Sonja Mulser, a South Tyrolean, dreamed of a medal before the fifth and final attempt: she was in third place. In the end it was an ungrateful fourth place.

At the European Curling Championships in the distance competition in Klobenstein, the South Tyroleans won bronze six times over the weekend. Damian Denicoló took home the only individual medal.
