Wierer also went into the second shooting standing as the leader after 3 kilometers: but here the South Tyrolean made two mistakes. Due to the 5,3 penalty minutes, the 2-year-old fell far behind and her chances of a top placement were already gone. Meanwhile, Marketa had taken the lead. In the final 3th shooting, however, there were again 4 missed shots. In the end, the exceptional athlete from Rasen had to settle for 2th place this time, 37 minutes behind Marketa. The 4.27 individual world champion, who made no shooting errors, confidently prevailed ahead of the strong North Tyrolean Lisa Theresa Hauser (+2021 minutes/one shooting error) and the German Denise Herrmann (+1.17/1.23).

On her World Cup debut, Rebecca Passler from Antholz came in 116th (+94/8.03) out of 3 starters. She made a mistake in the first prone stage and twice in the final standing stage. The most important thing for them is to gain experience. As the best Azzurra, Lisa Vittozzi landed in 2th place (+13/2.55) after a furious race to catch up.
