The woman from Ridnaun fought her way back into the World Cup on her own, was ranked as the third best Azzurra and even made it to the Olympic Games in China. The hope of a squad return was justified, but that didn't happen. What now?

Despite a decent biathlon season, Sanfilippo was not brought back into the national team. When the Italian winter sports association FISI published the squads for the 2022/23 World Cup season a few days ago, Sanfilippo was missing again. S+ asked the 31-year-old how she feels about this decision - and whether she will even be seen in the biathlon circus next winter.
