What a start for Dorothea Wierer! Exciting finale After the last shooting, Wierer was 32,5 seconds ahead of the Swede Johanna Skottheim and around 35 seconds ahead of Denise Herrmann from Germany, who made a mistake during the shooting. After Herrmann's outstanding performance on the cross-country ski trail, things were supposed to be close again. Although Wierer's lead over the German dwindled from time to time on the last lap, in the end it was just enough for the woman from Pusteria. South Tyrol's superstar won 0,8 seconds ahead of Herrmann. Skottheim took third place (+3).
