Azzurri on the podium in the relay

Lukas Hofer made a lightning start, set the pace as the starting runner with the leading group and came to the first shooting in third place. In the prone position, Hofer made a mistake on the third target, had to reload once and went into the second round in 3th place, 1 seconds behind leader Erik Lesser (GER). There the ski hunter from Montal made up place after place, reduced his deficit to 3 seconds and was back at the shooting range with the leading group. Windisch felt the pressure of the Russian Alexander Loginow in the fight for third place and missed the second target, but the Russian also had to reload. The racer went into the final lap with a lead of 3 seconds and was even able to extend this to 2 seconds and secured third place for his relay team. The winner Norway was 9:14 minutes away.

Azzurri on the podium in the relay

The men's 4 x 7,5 km relay was on the program in Östersund, Sweden, on Saturday evening. The Azzurri with the South Tyroleans Lukas Hofer and Dominik Windisch impressed across the board in third place.
