Biathlon ace Lukas Hofer is daring to embark on a new adventure

Hofer will take part in the Red Bull X-Alps next summer. The organizers announced this. Red Bull X-Alps is one of the toughest adventure races in the world. 35 participants, who previously had to go through a selection process, compete head-to-head in which they cover up to 150km on foot or by paraglider every day, passing predetermined turnpoints on the highest mountains in the Alps and in famous holiday resorts must. Red Bull X-Alps was launched in 2003 and usually takes place every two years. The 2023 edition marks the 20th anniversary of the first event. Since 2009, the Swiss Christian Maurer, or “Chrigel the Eagle” as he is called by fans of the race, has won every edition. With five women, there will be more athletes at the start next year than ever before in the history of the race.

By the way, the new biathlon season begins for Hofer at the end of November in Kontiolahti. The winner of two World Cup races also broke new ground in this year's preparation for the season. The Montaler completed large parts of the training with the Swedish national team.
