Biathlon: Katja Haller in the screening squad for the 2012-13 season

The 31-year-old from Ridnaun is now in the selection squad, but will still have the chance to qualify for the A team. Alexia Runggaldier from Val Gardena, who was in the B team last year, will take Katja Haller's place in the coming season. Michela Ponza, Dorotea Wierer and Karin Oberhofer have been confirmed.

In the men's category, Lukas Hofer and Markus Windisch made it into the first team again, while the two-time Italian champion Dominik Windisch was promoted from the B team. Last season, the South Tyrolean trio won the relay in Oberhof together with Christian de Lorenzi and at the World Championships in Ruhpolding the four narrowly missed the podium.

Federica Sanfilippo from Ridnaun was promoted to the B team this year, while Daniel Taschler will be in the screening squad for the coming season.

There were no major changes in the coaching constellation: Andreas Zingerle, who coached the first women's team last season, is responsible for the "Sochi 2014" teams this season. Patrick Favre, who was coach of the B team in 2011/2012, took over his position last year.
