Biathlon World Cup 2019: Antholz looks to St. Wolfgang

The five-day IBU Congress began today in St. Wolfgang near Salzburg. The congress is of great importance for South Tyrol because it will be decided on Sunday, September 7th where the 2019 Biathlon World Cup will take place. One of the candidates, together with the Swedish Östersund, the Russian Khanty Mansiysk and the Czech Nove Mesto na Morave, is also Antholz. To date, five world championships have taken place in the South Tyrolean biathlon mecca: in 1975, 1976, 1983, 1995 and most recently in 2007.
