Bø brothers with a double victory – Hofer fails in the standing shooting

Johannes Thingnes Bø celebrated his 15th success in the 24th race of the season in the pursuit. No biathlete had ever triumphed so often in one winter before. The Norwegian won on Saturday ahead of his brother Tarjei Bø. The German Arnd Peiffer came third, beating the Austrian Felix Leitner on the final lap.

Hofer and Windisch fall back Lukas Hofer, who came second in the sprint the day before, cleared all ten targets in the two prone stages and went into his third round as Johannes Thingnes Bø's first pursuer (+16 seconds).

After the first standing stage, the Montaler had to go into the penalty loop twice and returned to the trail in seventh place. At the last shooting, Hofer missed another target and went into the final lap in eighth place. In this he pushed hard on the accelerator again, gained two places and was able to fight his way up to sixth place in the end. With this next top result, Hofer is in tenth place in the overall World Cup - one race before the end of the season.

Mass start world champion Dominik Windisch did not have an ideal day at the shooting range. Windisch, who started the race in 13th place, missed a total of six targets on Saturday and finished the competition in 27th place.
